The Immaculate presides over the consecration celebrations of the church of the Sagrario of the Cathedral of Seville, in an anonymous canvas of 1662. The controversy of the Immaculate Conception of the Virgin – which had its epicenter starting in 1615 in Seville, with street riots and burning of images – revolved around fixing the exact moment when God had granted grace to the woman chosen to be the mother of her only son.
