Gilded and enamelled glass 14th century
Votive oil lamps such as this one were made by eastern artisans to ornament mosques, and their edges were embellished with devotional epigraphic inscriptions. It entered the museum following Director Manuel Casamar’s trip to Egypt to acquire new pieces.
