The altarpiece is the work of Francisco Pérez between 1601 and 1605. In the center of the altarpiece a canvas painted by Francisco Ribalta in 1605, with the scene of the appearance of Christ to the Saint in the presence of Santo Domingo de Guzmán and San Francisco de Asís. This scene represents the miraculous healing of the saint which happened in the French city of Avignon in 1398.
